Celebrating the life of

Elizabeth Ann Beasley

December 29, 1941 - April 06, 2026

Elizabeth Ann Beasley

Elizabeth Ann Beasley closed her eyes for the last time on April 6, 2026. For several days, the family circled around her, keeping her as comfortable as possible in her home overlooking the Vernon River. Her son, Tony, held her hand as she peacefully drifted away from those of us who loved her.

Ann was born in Charleston, S.C., and raised in Savannah, GA.  She was of Catholic faith, graduating from St. Vincent’s Academy in 1959. She was employed by Union Camp for 35 years as an administrative assistant, having worked in both the maintenance and engineering departments. During her years at Union Camp, Ann made many lifelong friends.

She and her boys spent many summer days enjoying the beach at Tybee Island. Her sister Linda and her daughter Leila would also join Ann at the beach, where they had many fun hours relaxing and playing Scrabble. Linda eventually moved into the same community to be closer to her sister.

Nothing excited Ann more than Linda’s daughter, Leila, bringing her two young children, Knox and Ava, over for a visit.

Recently, Terry’s daughter, Hannah, gave birth to a son, Simon, making Ann a great-grandmother.  Needless to say, Ann was over the moon with this sweet boy.

Ann was predeceased in death by her parents, Leo and Irma Sanchez, and more recently, her sister, Linda Sanchez. She is survived by her son Tony Beasley (Denise), Terry Beasley (Cathy); granddaughter, Hannah Caskey (Mike); great-grandson, Simon Caskey;  niece, Leila Sheehan (Eamon), and their two children Knox and Ava Sheehan.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to those who supported Ann during this difficult time. First, thanks to Cathy Beasley, who cared for Ann as her own mother – accompanying her to appointments, sharing meals, and lovingly stepping into the role of caregiver as her health declined. Denise Beasley was instrumental over the years in providing the family with professional advice regarding elder care. She put us in touch with Laura Freeman, who quickly arranged for Bridge Hospice to assist with Ann’s care. We would also like to thank Glenda and Pearl of Amor Sitter Services for their compassionate care of Ann in her last few days.

Visitation will take place on Friday, April 10, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Catholic Cemetery.

Donations may be made to St. Vincent’s Academy in Ann’s memory.
